PRETTY PAJAMAS – CAN’T YOU JUST SEE YOURSELF LOUNGING IN THEM?!
I’ve often had this vision in my head of me in pretty pajamas. Of course, I’m lounging in them – not sleeping. I’m not exactly sure what lounging means, but the pajamas in my imagining are perfect for lounging. They aren’t the typical sleeping pjs that I wear to bed – you know the type: flannel pants and a long sleeve t-shirt. In that imagined life, I’m lounging in my pretty pajamas.
I came across these when I wasn’t looking for pajamas, but they looked just like my vision of lounging pajamas at an affordable price. How could I resist?
In addition to being pretty, these pjs are really comfortable. I ended up with the top in size medium and bottoms in small. I like that the length of the bottoms is long enough. Models are tall and when they are modeling pants, often the pants are a bit short on them in my opinion. I’ve learned that since most of the time models are at least 5’10”, pants are a little longer on me that what may be shown by a retailer’s model, which I prefer.
Although these feel like pajamas that could could be worn for some kind of entertaining (not exactly sure what kind of entertaining would be appropriate for loungy pajamas, but that’s my vision), they are comfortable enough to actually wear for sleeping. And perfect for Christmas morning photos (darn! I didn’t have them at Christmas).
This pajama top could easily transition to day wear. I know a woman who’s kind of my style inspiration, and she wears a beautiful floral print pajama top with jeans. The unstructured silhouette of a pajama top in a pretty print actually looks fabulous paired with jeans or, in the case of this particular top, black jeans or pants. I’m going to try it! (Maybe I’ll photograph that look to add to this post. If I do, I’ll let you know.)

PS – The cute initial coffee mug is available from Target.
PPS – Visible in this post are my “winter toes” (no polish). However, I just received for Christmas Olive & June mani and pedi sets, and can’t wait to try them. I’ll tell you all about it in another post.
