Gap – Come Shopping with Me!
Whenever I’m at a shopping center where my go-to retailers reside, I love to pop in and see the styles that are front and center. Recently I stopped in a Gap store to see their interpretation of spring fashion.
Come along on my Gap shopping trip!
I’m a fairly casual gal when it comes to style. And I can almost always find a thing or two at Gap that fits right into that easy going, informal style niche. This visit was no exception.
Take a look at the easy and simple pieces that are perfect for a casual spring and summer lifestyle, whether you’re hanging out at a weekend backyard barbeque, meeting up for a girls’ outing, or jetting away for an actual vacation.
Gap has so many sales and promotions, you almost never have to pay full price. Be sure to check the online sale pricing because the store will match the online price if it’s less as long as you can show proof–I use the Gap app so it’s easy to pull up an item and its price.
Note: Please excuse the lovely pink circle on my cheek. No, I didn’t ask a toddler for help with my makeup (lol). I had a little mishap during my walk last week, and rather than breaking my fall with my arms (logical, right?), I used my face. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m just thankful I didn’t chip or lose a tooth or break my nose (shocking since it’s the most prominent feature on my face). Anyway, I attempted to spare you the visual as much as possible by turning my face to the side, but it’s a little hard to completely hide.
Now to the clothes!
Linen Weekend Tunic Shirt
Tunic shirts are so versatile. In the photo, I’m wearing skinny jeans (yes, you can wear your skinnies still) with the Linen Weekend Tunic Shirt, and the look with the tunic shirt has a very laid back vibe. The linen fabric makes this a great spring/summer option that can play a number of roles: swimsuit cover-up, a topper with a tank top underneath, or tie the front and leave the back long for a fun look.
This shirt comes in 5 colors.
Linen Boyfriend Shirt
This is similar to the linen tunic shirt but the length isn’t quite so long on this Linen Boyfriend Shirt. I’m showing two of the nine colors in the photos here. There’s something so perfect about a linen shirt for spring and summer. And this boyfriend style gives the classic a more modern feel. This shirt comes in 9 colors.
High Rise Patched 70s Flare Jeans
How fun are these jeans! Brings me right back to the 70s for sure! These High Rise Patched 70s Flare Jeans (that’s a mouthful) are comfortable and fit well. I love the contrast inset in the flare. If I needed another pair of jeans, they’d already be in my closet.
High Rise ’70s Flare Jeans
These High Rise 70s Flare Jeans are another reminder of what we wore in the 70s. I love the dungaree style front pockets. If you’re looking for white jeans for the summer season, these could be the ones–comfortable with a flattering flared leg opening.
This is the perfect summer sweater–the open knit allows some air flow so even on a warm day it can work. Or bring it along for when the evening cools off. It’s so cute! And versatile. Comes in 3 colors.
(Currently size availability is limited but I’m hoping they’ll restock.)
This sweater is a classic Shaker-Stitch Cardigan and reminds me a little of the viral Jenni Kayne sweater. It’s such a timeless silhouette and knit style. This one came home with me and I know it’ll be something I reach from over and over and will be in style forever. Comes in 2 colors.
*The lighting in the fitting room completely changed the color of this sweater. It’s actually a color called “Chino” which is more tan than this appears.
SoftSuit Blazer & Trousers
I (unfortunately) don’t have a need for a suit, but if I did, it would be this SoftSuit Blazer and Trousers. This is the new, trending suit style–a little more casual, over-sized jacket, trouser-style pants, and comfortable. The suit is sold as separates, so if you like the blazer and don’t need the trousers, just get that! The blazer comes in 2 colors and the trousers in 5 colors.
Pieces from the Try-on Session
The widget below features all of the clothes I tried on that are pictured above. I love the casual vibe of these Gap easy-to-wear and versatile separates. They have a modern take on classics and they’re pieces that will undoubtedly be busy in a spring and summer wardrobe rotation.
