It is so tempting to be drawn in by the siren song of a new season’s shoes. Spring shoe fashions are popping up everywhere. The approach of spring is infused in shoe styles with spring-y colors, open toe styles, and abundance of sandals! And who doesn’t want to wear the new fun styles right now.
But the weather needs to get a bit warmer before I’m comfortable ditching the socks and exposing my toes. How about you?
What’s your footwear plan for this in-between winter and spring time?
Even though you may be slowly adding a few spring/summer shoes to your collection, in many areas of the country it’s just not spring shoe weather yet. But there are styles that can perk up your shoe looks and channel a little spring while still keeping your feet mostly covered, and they’ll still be perfect when spring actually gets here.
You don’t have to play it safe. Who wants sensible shoes! Your shoes can be fun – a surprise pop of color or an edgy style really creates an image that says: Stylish!
Here are a few looks to inspire your creativity. (Click on the images for more info: price, description, size availability, or to purchase*.)
These fun and whimsical ballet flats are a great way to add a little surprise to your look. And the style is great to wear now (when it’s not raining) and take you into spring and summer! These spunky shoes are from Ellen DeGeneres’s line.
Open toe booties are a great transitional look and are a way to make boots spring-friendly. These are especially perfect with the perforated style and lighter color.
Blush is one of spring’s most “in” colors. This slip-on style casual shoe looks great with jeans, casual pants, and even skirts (a denim skirt would be a great pairing). An added plus – super comfy!
This smart and feminine shoe is perfect for the office, date night, or girls’ night out. The slim profile makes it a perfect shoe for taking you into spring.
I love driving moccasins! The pretty color makes these mocs especially trendy and polished at the same time. The blue is one of the Pantone spring colors and you’ll be seeing a lot of it this coming season.
The loafer mule is a popular spring look. Even though this one is in black, the backless style keeps it light and spring-friendly. It would look really fresh with a pair of white jeans.
Every woman should have a pair of red shoes in her collection! This loafer style is very versatile, and the color is perfect to wear now and fun for summer. Think nautical! If you are new at integrating a bright color into your looks, accessories are a great way to start.
If you’re a casual/athletic shoe gal, here’s a fun take on that style. And in the popular blush color that we are beginning to see in spring fashion (other colors available). A comfort shoe with pizzaz!
