Pink Faux Leather Jacket

Pink Faux Leather Jacket

There’s something just so pretty about pink. Wearing pink in an unexpected way creates a soft but not prissy look. This pink faux leather jacket with a moto vibe is the perfect combination of pretty pink and a little edge. It drew me in the minute I saw it.

A faux leather jacket is a great topper that works as an accessory at the same time. It’s light enough to wear indoors when it’s chilly and warm enough to give that extra layer of warmth outside (well, in Northern California it is!).

I have become a big fan of faux leather jackets over the past few years. I love real leather too and have a couple of jackets that I treasure. But the price of real leather can be prohibitive (I always advocate buying on sale). Since the quality of faux or synthetic leather has improved, it has opened up the world of the leather look.

This faux leather jacket is from Uniqlo (one of my favorite places to shop). I ordered both the small and medium and ended up keeping the small. The sizing on this jacket is generous through the shoulders. It’s a great price – $49.90 as of this writing (it comes in black too). The price allows for having fun with the look without a big investment that makes you feel that you’ve purchase a piece you need to be committed to long term. Click on the image to check it out. I’ve been wearing A LOT of black and gray this winter. And always, as we round the corner into February, I start to get a little tired of wearing all those dark colors. Spring is on the horizon – less than 7 weeks away! This is a great time of year to plan your winter to spring transition style, and start to incorporate some colors into your outfits. Pastels styled with gray or black neutrals are an easy way to begin to transition from those dark wintery colors to a lighter look and not feel that your outfit is screaming spring.

Uniqlo Pink Synthetic Leather Riders Jacket

A faux leather jacket works well styled with pants, casual and dressy, as well as dresses and skirts. I’m wearing the jacket with my favorite AG jeans – Sateen Prima in Cavern. They are pricey but worth it – I always buy on sale. If you are a fan of premium jeans, I recommend signing up to receive your favorite brand’s e-newsletters so you receive first notice of sales. Make sure you know what size you wear (try them on in stores as research), because when these brands go on sale, they sell out of sizes fast. My other favorite denim brand is Mother Denim. Check them both out if you like to wear jeans styles – premium denim brands have features that aren’t found in many budget brands. That’s another post! But to repeat myself – wait for the sales!

These gray booties are waterproof (Caslon Brenna from Nordstrom) and on sale! At the time of this writing they are 40% off = $65.96!

Gray boots are a great transition shoe as we move from winter to spring. The color works well with some spring-y shades and a light gray shoe can really lighten up a look. Check out some other gray booties below.
